I am honored, mother nature,
for all you provide,
and to be a child, and part, of you.
Thank you, mother nature,
for reminding me, who I am.

There is a magnificent essence in every being here on this earth.
And to bear witness to that essence, at times, is one of the greatest privileges I know of, that is bestowed upon me. And though I may not always see that essence, It does not mean it is not there, In ways unseen or waters untravelled. Whoops, so I posted a new poem I'm writing and discovering by clicking "Post," but I'd like to give it some time and space to settle. (I'm not sure how to delete posts on here, hence I'm writing you guys about this haha.)
That's all. :) and you can expect a new coming poem in the future ;) Hope y'all are well. Peace, and love -Jon A thousand fireflies flash in the night, Like the light of the thousands of souls I have met on earth. They are spectacular. And their beauty is in that they are not always lit up. Sometimes, they are dark, but it almost makes their moments of light, even more beautiful. * * * Sometimes, what we're most afraid of sharing with people, is what they will truly love us for. Living in peace and happiness and working toward world peace isn’t about fixing all of our problems and getting there like, wham-bam, I'm done! It's about admitting that were working on stuff and then wanting to live life fully for ourselves and for all of us to live in harmony, and as progression: love one another's company genuinely... so we may lessen suffering, raise authenticity, and multiply expression, because it feels good. With the dusk of a half moon,
our feminine and our masculine come into balance; Our light and shadow are seen together, in wholeness. :) Have a nice evening. Cool moonlight
And lover's embrace. My heart warms.
I wrote this for a challenge within the TIGSource community. They are a great group of knowledgable, caring, and critical thinking people.
The challenge was to write a piece inspired by Sorge Island, an island in the Arctic. The challenge required that you use meter(s) that are less common (meters other than duple or triple.) The other part of the change was to use modes, if you like. Working in these parameters led to some fun, unique places to journey to.
For me, this evokes the image of arctic dragons swirling about the south pole, and yet it also harkens to the greek lyre. Those factors among other factors leads to its mysticism for me. In other words, I'm not sure what this depicts or explains, but I do feel it, so it must exist in some form of energy and expression ;) There are some parts that are inexplicable to me as of now, but that's part of the fun of creating; I learn that there's a world that is so large and diverse, that I am a part of. It's an honor to be able to explore it and look for things that feel good. :) If you want to read more about the challenge, you can read at the TIGSource Forum by clicking Here. Love you guys and hope you're having a nice week. Happy Friday~
Also, check out the other participants of the challenge!
It's awesome to see how differently, and in ways, similarly, we interpreted the challenge. Cars on the highway
Are like the great gazelles of the savanna; They run, bound toward the warm horizon. With speed and agility They move in synchronization and harmony. And when I really take that all in... I have peace and awe of our beauty. ...the thought that we are part of the gazelle, and they, now a part of us... It tingles me. You know, bunnies are pretty awesome,
they can shift through dimensions like fences where we human experience hitting a wall. We can pass our hand through the fence, and touch the other side, but the bunnies can be on the other side. Hehe, having some fun and seeing some dimensional parallels. Happy Saturday everyone! I. Two Birds What would happen if our souls met underneath the full moon, in the form of two birds, upon a sakura branch. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ II. A Bridge
I and an other met on a bridge, at night. The Sky tore open and revealed a pink sky which filled the night. Colors unseen to our eyes shone through the heavens like rays of sunlight __ __________________ ___ _ ___ ____ _________ __________ ____ __ _ __ ____ __________ ____ __ _ At three in the morning, the setting reverted and the dimensional gap was closed. He and I stood together, embracing one another when we awoke, at the the center of the bridge. |<~-*-~>| III. The Great River in the Sky We float through the celestial river as if it were a lazy river. There is no payment required by the river, and you naturally move, work, and express. In the surrounding trees are perched owls, who frequently fly overhead. Below, doves, like swallows dip and dive in arabesque. The cosmic landscape is abiding, as it is on earth, and nothing seems to be feeding the river but unfiltered, deep, imperfect, yet perfect, love. <3 Poems © Jon Sysyn 2015 |
